Dear Family and Friends,
The peaks of the Rocky Mountains are now covered in snow and that can only mean that the Christmas season has arrived. I hope that this finds you in good health and good spirits this year. We are doing well and continue to enjoy life in Colorado. 2024 proved to be another busy year for us.

The Navy held the first-ever Navy Week in Colorado Springs in mid-August. Five crew members from USS Colorado and fourteen crew members from USA Mesa Verde were in town to participate in the festivities, and several community service projects. A highlight of the event was to see the interaction between veterans and the active-duty sailors.

Crew members of USS Henry Clay held a reunion in New London, CT in October. As always it was good to see old friends and share stories, which get better with every telling! We also had dinner at a winery in Ledyard, another place we called home. We drove up to Massachusetts to visit our son and his family before flying home.
We are looking forward to our final trip of the year to spend Christmas with our son and his family. Best wishes for a very joyous Christmas season and health and happiness in the new year!
